Parkinson’s

After being diagnosed with Parkinson's over three years ago, I was determined to maintain my previous activity levels. I kept up with yoga, walking, and special PD patient exercises. When a friend mentioned light therapy treatments in Australia, I decided to try them and am glad I did. Within days of starting the SYMBYX PDCare, I saw a marked improvement in my constipation that has lasted over three months. I also gradually noticed better energy levels and finer motor skills in my hands and fingers, making typing and writing easier. My sense of smell and taste improved too, which is always welcome!

I thought I might need to increase my medication dosage at my next neurologist visit, but since using the light therapy, I don't feel the need for a higher dosage and no longer experience 'off times' between doses. I'm optimistic and encouraged by my improvements, thanks to the SYMBYX light therapy!

Parkinson's

Jorge: “I had no energy, felt tired, dizzy, and had rigidity and balance issues. I read about photobiomodulation’s effects on Parkinson’s and decided to try it, having nothing to lose. Within a few weeks, I noticed more energy and motivation; my dizziness and balance issues started to disappear.”

Michèle: “He used to be scared of falling, but now he walks fast and confidently. I can barely keep up during our hikes! His rigidity has subsided. Seeing his smile each morning, and how happy and energised he feels, is wonderful. We had feared his Parkinson’s diagnosis; it’s a tough disease with a usually negative progression. However, light therapy with PDCare and SYMBYX Neuro has given us hope and a positive outlook for the future. It's replaced our fear with hope, and we trust in the science and the team behind SYMBYX.”

Parkinson’s

"Before SYMBYX light therapy, Paul struggled with increasingly lengthy off periods from Parkinson's, worsening his mood significantly,” says his wife Lucie. “An active sailor, the impact on his daily life was profound, leading to depression and hopelessness. Despite considering Deep Brain Surgery, we discovered light therapy through an article, which suggested it could enhance medication efficacy by treating the gut microbiome. The results were immediate and remarkable. After the first session, Paul experienced significant relief from constipation, and subsequent sessions improved his mood, sleep, and stopped his nightmares. This not only enhanced his quality of life but ours as a couple, allowing us to regain our social life and enjoy activities like sailing. Light therapy, a non-invasive and chemical-free option, brought swift improvements, proving to be a game-changer for us. I highly recommend it as an effective, low-risk treatment."

Parkinson’s

"I believe it (light therapy using the PDCare) has had a very positive impact on me and my symptoms over the last few months. I have felt more energetic and less tired, very clear-headed and I believe I'm moving better than before. I'm definitely running faster.

I also definitely have less stiffness in my right arm and fingers. It seems to further enhance the impact of my PD medication."

Parkinson’s

"I use both the SYMBYX helmet and the laser, and it's made a big difference in my hand dexterity. I love to knit - a little crocheting, but mainly knitting. Before (SYMBYX), I wasn't able to do a lot of knitting; there were only certain times during the day that I could knit because I would experience a little wearing off of the medication, and I wouldn't have the hand dexterity. But now, I can pick up knitting at any time during the day!"

Parkinson’s

"I was diagnosed in August 2019, though I’d had symptoms for a while, likely ignoring my tremor while grieving my Dad’s death in 2018—he too had Parkinson’s. Perhaps subconsciously, I didn’t want to face the possibility of having the same disease.

Feeling too young to submit to the disease, I consulted an integrative medical doctor who recommended acupuncture and light therapy alongside neurology. It’s important for me to help others my age live a full life with Parkinson’s, showing them that there are effective options like light therapy available if they are open to trying them."

Parkinson’s

“Being able to use a drug free alternative, freely, without any negative side effect, has meant I can treat my pain and not have that debilitating ongoing pain” says Susie who lives with daily chronic pain.

Parkinson’s

"In 2021 a friend, who had known of my enthusiasm for laser therapy, noticed an online report on the hand-held, battery driven SYMBYX laser. I immediately placed an order. After a month or two of using the laser therapy, the pain and discomfort in my back had reduced; the dull pain in my gut had become less of a concern; and I seem to suffer much less from the tremors in my arms and legs that are the bane of many people with PD."

The laser therapy is now an important component in the comprehensive list of things I do to contain my Parkinson's, and which also includes neuro-physiotherapy, strength training, voice therapy, stationary bike exercises, walking, and the course of tablets recommended by my neurologist. As a result, I am confident my Parkinson's Disease will be less restrictive on my lifestyle – and I feel I am better placed to get on with enjoying my life.

Everyone I spoke with from SYMBYX, including the Clinical Support Team provides excellent customer service, and took the time to answer all of my questions.."
